About the VTN-1 pump
VTN-1 is the base model of the NPO-Organika range of submersible centrifugal pumps for viscous and contaminated media: manure, effluents with silt and sand, liquids with fibrous inclusions. What sets it apart from mass-produced sewage pumps from municipal services: VTN-1 pumps raw manure from 75% moisture without water dilution — those machines are built for diluted effluents, so water has to be added, multiplying the volumes to store and haul. The VTN-1 platform is the basis for the compact VTN-1M pump-mixer and the self-contained tractor-driven VTN-1MT; the VTN-1DU flagship is a modification with its own, larger hydraulics.

VTN-1 is the versatile base model of the series: one pump covers everyday manure removal and contaminated effluents. For special tasks there are modifications: for homogenization in a compact unit — the VTN-1M pump-mixer; for sites without a power grid — the tractor-driven VTN-1MT; for maximum capacity and head — the VTN-1DU flagship. Pumping distance up to 2 km is available on all three modifications.
What the water in your manure costs
As long as a pump cannot take thick mass, water is added to the manure — and then the farm stores, pumps and hauls that water at its own expense. VTN-1 moves manure at natural moisture, from 75%, so no water has to be added.
Our model, built on Belarusian and Russian norms, puts the dilution water of a 400-cow farm at roughly BYN 24,000–53,000 a year (a model estimate on conservative assumptions — the range runs from the water consumption norm to the moisture level of hydraulic systems). The industry magazine Nashe Selskoye Khozyaystvo (No. 2/2022) describes the upgrade of the Mazolovogaz farm: replacing two pumps with a single VTN-1 together with screw conveyors raised milk yields and liveweight gain by 12% — that is the effect of the whole upgrade, not of one pump.

How a VTN differs from a mass-produced pump
Mass-produced pumps came to farms from municipal services: they are designed for diluted effluents. Below are their manufacturer's passport figures next to ours. We do not name the models; for comparability we took a mass-produced manure pump of the same capacity class.

The left-hand column comes from the manufacturer's passports of mass-produced manure pumps sold in the CIS. The discharge lift and pumping distance of a VTN depend on the version and on the line; “up to 10 m” is with an extension.
Working principle of the VTN-1 pump
The VTN-1 submersible centrifugal pump handles viscous and contaminated liquids: manure of reduced moisture content (from 75%), including stratified mass with fibrous and coarse-stemmed inclusions — straw, feed residues, corn stalks. Its primary job is manure removal at livestock complexes and farms: pumping from manure collectors to vehicles, storage facilities and processing (composting, separation into liquid and solid fractions). The pump works in stationary mode with a pumping distance of up to 1 km (actual distance depends on flow rate, pipeline diameter, lift and moisture of the mass) or on a mobile unit with a 0.5 t lifting device; before intake it mixes the mass within a radius of up to 5 m.
The wetted parts are made of steel and built for viscous, abrasive and aggressive media. A proprietary cutting mechanism at the inlet shears straw fibres, feed residues and long-stemmed inclusions before they enter the flow path — the pump needs neither filters nor a separate shredder.
The outlet pipe ends with a spigot for a pressure hose with an inner diameter from 100 mm. The detailed design is described in the product passport supplied with the pump.
With VTN-1 you do not buy a separate mixer, and the manure is not diluted with water — storage facilities, machinery and fields are not loaded with extra volume. The savings are documented: after replacing its pumps with VTN-1, the Mazolovogaz farm (Vitebsk region) saved 8,561 m³ of water in 2016 — BYN 19,100 in fuel, wages and electricity that hauling those volumes would have cost (the farm's official calculation, ref. No. 531 dated 16 August 2017). The VTN series has been in production since 2007; more than 100 units have been delivered.

Installation and site preparation
- Installation is done by the manufacturer. Supply, installation and commissioning under a single contract: we deliver, install, start the equipment up and hand over a working station under an acceptance certificate. Replacing old equipment is possible — dismantling it is our job.
- What the customer prepares before the installers arrive: a concreted pad by the manure collector and a cleaned receiving tank. We send the requirements once the order is placed — for your own scheme.
- Power connection. The pump is connected to a 380–400 V supply through a control panel; the panel, the cable and the protective switchgear are part of the scope of supply agreed for the order.
- Servicing without a crane. To lift the pump for servicing, the station comes with a portal or a jib crane with a hoist — the pump is raised by your own people, no mobile crane required.
- The first start-up is carried out by our specialists during commissioning; the customer receives the operating manual and the servicing schedule.
VTN-1 — frequently asked questions
Does the VTN-1 really pump manure without water dilution?
Yes — that is the key difference of the VTN series: the pump is built for raw manure from 75% moisture. Mass-produced sewage pumps from municipal services only work with diluted effluents — water has to be added, multiplying the volumes to store and haul. Will straw and fibrous inclusions clog the pump?
No. A proprietary cutting mechanism at the inlet shears fibres and long-stemmed inclusions before they enter the flow path. No filters or separate shredder are needed; solids up to 30 mm pass through.
Do I need a separate mixer for the manure?
No. The VTN-1 mixes the mass in the intake area within a radius of up to 5 m: stratified manure becomes homogeneous right in the collector and enters the line without sediment.
How does the VTN-1 differ from the other VTN models?
VTN-1 is the base model: capacity up to 300 t/h, head up to 24 m, stationary installation or a mobile unit. VTN-1M is a compact pump-mixer, VTN-1MT runs off a tractor PTO with no power grid, and VTN-1DU is the flagship with higher capacity and head; pumping distance up to 2 km is available on all three modifications.
Will the pump suit tasks outside agriculture?
Yes — provided the medium fits the characteristics of the series: viscous and contaminated liquids with fibrous inclusions, temperature up to +40 °C. The wetted parts are steel. Industrial plants send us selection requests too. Send us the parameters of the medium and the capacity and head you need — we will check them against the characteristics of the series and tell you whether a standard machine fits.
We already have a pump from another manufacturer — can you select a replacement?
Yes, that is the most frequent task we are asked about. Send us a photo of the nameplate or the passport of your machine — if the parameters fit the series, we will select a model by capacity, head, intake depth and fraction. Replacement requests reach us both for mass-produced sewage pumps from municipal services and for imported machines.
Why is there no price on the site, and how do I buy a VTN-1?
Because no two orders are alike: the configuration is built around the farm, and the cost follows from it. Main models and components are in stock; we also build pumps to match the conditions of your farm (column and cable length, frame, discharge gooseneck).
